5 Things Ways To Start Living Your God Inspired Dreams
" Now is the time to do the thing you are called to do." - Tara C. Pray
Today is the day!
"The day for what?" you ask.
To start living your God inspired dreams. You know the old saying, "there's no time like the present."
Okay, so you are probably thinking that sounds good and all, but.........
Once you have finished listing in your head all the reasons why today is not the day...continue to read. Discover FIVE things you can do that will show you why now is actually the perfect time.
THE FIVE THINGS
Decide. Make a decision. Say "yes" to do the thing God has spoken to you. Commit to the dream and see it through. What is that one dream that has been on your heart that you know you need to say yes to? That is the one that I want you to commit to right here and now. Don't worry about the details, instead just step out in faith by telling God you are ready and willing to put this dream into action.
Write. Putting words to paper is the second way you are going to commit to your decision. Writing out what you have decided to do and the why behind your decision takes it out of your head, where you can just spend so much time in what I like to call la, la land. This starts to make the dream and the commitment more real. Think of it as a contract you are signing with God to partner with Him in making your dreams happen. Ask yourself who would be a better partner than God? Clearly, write out the decision you have made and also include the why behind this decision.
Tell. When you make the decision to live your God inspired dreams, you need to tell someone. I don't mean just anyone but instead choose wisely. Let it be someone who is not a dream killer, but instead is a dream supporter. This is a person who you can trust. They will be able to listen to you, support you and hold you accountable.
Plan. Keep it simple by creating a mini plan. Often times what trips us up in following through on what we commit to are the details. We think about the how. " How am I suppose to do this?" " How am I going to get the money? " How will I find the time?" Yes, while these are legitimate questions, you don't have to answer them right now. As you start moving in faith, God will open doors and bring people and resources into your life that will take care of those questions. Right now, your focus is on planning to do five small things that you can accomplish in five days. Five days??? You can do this. In the next five days by implementing your mini-plan, you will gain momentum and a sense of accomplishment. List five things you can do that will support the decision you have committed to.
So let's say for example your dream is to return to school. You have decided that by this time next year, you will be enrolled in college. Now ask yourself what are five things I can do in the next five days that will move me closer to my dream? Some ideas include research schools, talk to someone in the field that you are interested in studying, set up a campus tour, start filling out applications and identify people who you will ask to write letters of recommendations. Remember to keep it simple.
Do. Once you have your mini-plan in place, then you must put it into action. This is called faith in action. You are now a faith walker. Nothing can be accomplished if you don't start. It is so important to remain mindful that your dream is one that God has given to you. It is yours and He has promised to be there with you. It is believing God and trusting what He has spoken into your heart.
So as you can see, today really is the day to start living your God inspired dreams.
